Franklin Attorney Named "Super Lawyer"
FRANKLIN - Attorney Michael P. Doherty, of Franklin, Massachusetts has
been named a Super Lawyer in the November 2004 issue of BOSTON Magazine.
To be selected as a super lawyer requires nomination and selection by
fellow lawyers and therefore is both a privilege and an honor. The Super
Lawyer list consists of the top five percent (5%) of the attorneys in
Massachusetts and is the result of an extensive four (4) step review process.
Attorney Doherty is a partner at the law firm of Doherty, Ciechanowski, Dugan & Cannon, P.C. which has offices in Franklin and Medfield Massachusetts.
Mr. Doherty concentrates his practice in the area of representing businesses and individuals in general business and litigation matters. He has represented clients in the formation and dissolution of various types of employment and business relationships. Mr. Doherty's experience includes litigation with an emphasis on litigation in the Superior and Probate and Family Court. Mr. Doherty is a 1987 cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School. Upon graduation, he accepted a judicial clerkship with the Justices of Massachusetts Superior Court. In 2000, and again in 2001, Mr. Doherty was named the Chairman of the Massachusetts Bar Association Probate Litigation Practice Group and a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association Probate Section Council.
Mr. Doherty has frequently been chosen to serve on many bar and public boards and committees. These include the Franklin Court House Building Committee, the Norfolk County Civil Pilot Program Advisory Committee, Chairman of the United Chamber of Commerce Council of Business and Industry, the Town of Franklin Board of Assessors, Chairman of the Town of Franklin Industrial Development Commission and the Franklin Rotary Club Board of Directors.
Mr. Doherty has also earned the respect and confidence of his peers as evidenced by their electing to provide him with Martindale Hubbell’s highest rating - “AV”.
