John G. Dugan

John Dugan has practiced law in Massachusetts since 1975, and concentrates in the areas of trusts and estates, probate and family law. He is a 1972 graduate of Holy Cross and a 1975 graduate of Suffolk University School of Law. He has received Martindale Hubbell's highest peer review rating of AV. Mr. Dugan is frequently appointed by the Probate and Family Court as Master, Special Master and Guardian ad Litem in various probate and family matters. He also represents individuals in divorce and fiduciary proceedings.

Mr. Dugan frequently instructs at seminars presented by the Massachusetts Bar Association and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. He recently held the position of Vice President of the Massachusetts Bar Association and is a Past President of both the Bar Association of Norfolk County and the Western Norfolk County Bar Association. In 1999, he was awarded the Outstanding Service Award by South Middlesex Legal Services, Inc. In 2008 he was awarded the John Adams and John Quincy Adams Pro Bono Award.

On January 21, 2009 John Dugan was presented the Community Service Award for outstanding dedication and service to the community by the Massachusetts Bar Association.

From 1977 through 2002, he served as Moderator of the Town of Millis. He is a past president of the Millis Little League and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Mass Bar's Probate Section. He a member of the Massachusetts Probate and Family American Inn of Court, a small organization of attorneys who specialize in the fields of family and probate law in Massachusetts.

John Dugan was selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, as published in Boston Magazine and in Massachusetts Super Lawyers Magazine.
