Attorney Stephen Chaplin concentrates his practice in the areas of domestic relations, business, and real estate litigation. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Attorney Chaplin graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music in 2009, and received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, cum laude, in 2012. As a student at Brooklyn Law School, Attorney Chaplin worked as a judicial intern for a United States District Judge in lower Manhattan, and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in International Intellectual Property Law and the Law of Agency, Partnership, and Limited Liability Companies.
Upon graduating from law school, Attorney Chaplin started a solo law practice in his hometown of Milford, Massachusetts, representing businesses and individuals in Massachusetts District, Superior, and Land Court litigation and general practice matters. Prior to joining Doherty, Ciechanowski, Dugan & Cannon, P.C., Attorney Chaplin worked as an associate at a two-attorney firm in Milford, focusing in the areas of business, real estate, domestic relations, and personal injury litigation.
Attorney Chaplin serves as the Secretary to the Rotary Club of Milford, the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Claflin Hill Music Foundation, and as a founding member of the Milford Area Humanitarian Coalition (MAHC). He also serves as the Rotary Club liaison to the Rotary Interact Club at Milford High School, and has previously served as an assistant coach to the Hopedale Junior/Senior High School Boys’ Tennis Team.
